IOTA pulls a Trump and blacklists The Next Web

IOTA pulls a Trump and goes all out on tech platform The Next Web. Cause you know what, The Next Web dared to say some mean things about the golden boys’ coin. At the root of the fight is an article published earlier today by The Next Web. In the article IOTA is slammed for not fixing vulnerability to replay attacks — “yet another technical issue” according to tech journalist and part-time IOTA slayer Mix. The (alleged) issue was first addressed by researcher Joseph Rebstock and published in an alarming vulnerability report.

A legit concern, that — with investors interest in mind — should lead to a mature conversation. With arguments and stuff, so the community can make up its own mind about yet another relentless assault on IOTA and its Tangle. Let’s assume TNW is in the wrong here. Then show the public how wrong they are, instead of not allowing them to play in your sandbox anymore.

Hey, IOTO co-founder Dominiek. You’ve got foam on your lip.

It’s a feud that already started months ago, after IOTA’s larger than life marketplace announcement. The IoT company did or did not imply that Microsoft was a full blown partner. TNW responded by accusing IOTA of spreading fake news. And IOTA in return accused TNW of, well, ehm.. spreading fake news. The right moment to call it even and move on with your lives. Not so much for this Dutch (TNW) — German (IOTA) border dispute.

Great tech guys (or not so great tech if we have to believe TNW), but what’s the deal with the long toes? Here for instance a complete thread on co-founder David “angry kid on an Xbox Live” Sønstebø. It’s only distracting from the technology and great achievements the IOTA team made. We are the first ones to acknowledge that.

So wipe your tears. Grow up. And grab a beer with TNW founder @Boris. He seems to be just as cocky as Dominiek a nice guy after all.
