Manchester United is stepping into the future of fan engagement for the 2024/25 season with their new Web3 venture, “Fantasy United,” hosted on Tezos Blockchain. This revolutionary football game invites fans to dive into a virtual management experience, where they can oversee Manchester United players and collect digital trading cards that are updated in real-time. 

Fans can now collect Player Trading Cards featuring all first-team players from the men’s squad. These cards come in Classic, Rare, and Ultra-Rare editions, each hand-drawn and updated dynamically with real-time stats throughout the season.

This feature allows fans to track their favorite players closely and compete with friends in mini-leagues, earning points based on actual player performance. 

Ronan Joyce, Manchester United’s digital innovation director, highlights that fans can collect the entire first-team squad through these trading cards, which will evolve with each match throughout the season. This ongoing dynamics keeps fans engaged and excited, making the project a standout collaboration between Manchester United and the Tezos ecosystem.

Available in packs of seven of £3, Player Trading Cards offer early access to those owning “The Devils” collection. This new digital venture promises to enrich the Manchester United fan experience, blending virtual and real-world interactions in an exciting and immersive way.

The initiative aims to build a vibrant fan community through interactive elements like “Player Trading Cards and Fantasy United is an innovative use of blockchain technology to enable United fans to have a deeper connection with their favourite club.
