Archax adopts Chainlink Data Streams for tokenised Treasury collateral

TL;DR: Archax has integrated Chainlink Data Streams to provide pricing feeds for GOVY, its tokenised US Treasury offering, as it builds out collateral use cases.

Tokenising Treasury bills on a blockchain represents just the initial phase. When institutions seek to borrow against these assets or employ them as margin within automated markets, software systems require dependable and up-to-date valuation data.

Archax is tackling this requirement through its collaboration with Chainlink. The regulated digital asset exchange announced the adoption of Chainlink Data Streams for GOVY, a continuously rolling tokenised US Treasury vehicle. The objective is to deliver pricing information that facilitates lending, treasury management, and other decentralized collateral use cases.

GOVY offers exposure to short-dated US government bills backed by regulated custody of the underlying securities. Key features highlighted by Archax include wallet-to-wallet transfers among approved participants alongside subscriptions and redemptions settled via supported stablecoins.

These elements are essential because digital securities require clear parameters governing custody, eligibility, and price discovery. While a high-speed oracle feed does not eliminate credit, liquidity, or operational risks—and any proposed decentralized finance integration requires clearance from individual markets—it allows programmable financial systems to utilise the asset’s price. This marks a functional step forward as institutions move toward treating tokenised Treasuries as operational collateral rather than mere digital certificates.
